How do I sign up?

Signing up for an ISAEngage e-list is easy! Simply follow these steps to add yourself to an e-list:

  1. Log into the ISAE website.
  2. Go to your ISAE Member Profile. This can be found on the homepage when you log in, or by hovering over the “Member Center” tab at the top menu and clicking “My Profile.”
  3. In your profile, there will be five tabs: My Community, My Profile, Connections, My Features and Inbox. Hover over “My Features” and select “E-Lists.”
  4. Click on the lists to which you would like to subscribe. Important: refresh the page to save your e-list subscriptions.
  5. You will then receive a welcome email.

Can I unsubscribe to these lists?

Yes. You may unsubscribe to any E-List in your profile on the ISAE website, or by emailing Grant Carpenter at [email protected].

Who may sign me up?

Only you may subscribe yourself to an E-List.

How do I send a message to my E-List?

Simply send an email to the address listed in the welcome email, or reply to a message you receive. Please note, you may only send emails to the E-Lists using the email address in your ISAE member profile. All other email addresses will bounce.

Is there a limit to how many E-Lists I may join?

ISAE members may join as many or as few E-Lists as they would like.

May I use the E-List to promote my product?

No. The intent for these E-Lists is for members to share ideas and help each other overcome challenges. Using these E-Lists to promote products and services is prohibited and will result in removal from the list. Users may recommend vendors and services when relevant to the conversation, but are not to disparage any service provider or product using this tool. See Terms and Conditions below.

 

ISAE E-List Rules & Expectations

By posting a message to the ISAE E-Lists, you understand the intent of these E-Lists is to stimulate discussion through the process of peer knowledge sharing. To encourage a positive and productive experience, all users of the ISAE E-Lists agree to abide by the following rules and expectations:

Posting Guidelines

When posting, please do not

  • post any material that would be reasonably deemed political or religious in nature;
  • post advertisements, promotional materials, or any other forms of business solicitation;
  • post comments of an unfavorable nature against any individual, organization or company;
  • post any content that you do not have a right to make available under any law or under contractual or fiduciary relationships or any copyrighted material for which you are not the owner of the copyright;
  • transmit any information, data, text, files, links, software, chat, communication or other materials that is unlawful, harmful, threatening, abusive, harassing, defamatory, libelous, vulgar, obscene, hateful, racially or otherwise objectionable or is deceptive, fraudulent or an invasive of another's privacy;
  • attack the posting of others;
  • harvest or collect information about the users of the ISAE E-Lists, including using any e-mail addresses from these E-Lists for the purpose of transmitting or facilitating the transmission of unsolicited bulk electronic e-mail or communications;
  • promote any unlawful activity or encourage conduct that would constitute a criminal offense;
  • falsify or omit your name or e-mail address from any message, provide a false subject line, or otherwise manipulate identifiers in order to disguise the origin of any e-mail message.
  • post any chain letters, schemes, form of lottery or gambling or investment opportunities;
  • harass, stalk, embarrass, bully, attempt to intimidate or otherwise intentionally cause distress upon another user of the ISAE E-List;
  • make threats of any nature, directly or implied, at another individual or group of individuals.
  • use profanity, including by use of symbols for omitted letters;
  • post or otherwise make available any material that contains software viruses or any other computer files or programs designed to interrupt, destroy or limit the functionality of any computer software or hardware or telecommunications equipment, or that is designed or intended to damage or obtain unauthorized access to any data or other information of any other person;
  • violate any applicable local, state, national or international law.

Etiquette

When using the ISAE E-Lists, keep in mind the following etiquette:

  • It is not always necessary to send a reply to the entire list. Please be careful when hitting the reply button, especially if you do not want your reply to read by the entire list.
  • Do not respond unless you have something meaningful to say. A short "not me," "me too," or "thanks for the information" just clogs up inboxes.
  • Avoid the use of capitals. IT MEANS YOU ARE SHOUTING.
  • Warn other list subscribers of lengthy messages either in the subject line or at the beginning of the message body with a line that says "Long Message."
  • Do not send administrative messages, such as remove me from the list, through the E-List. Please email those items directly to ISAE staff at [email protected].

The Indiana Society of Association Executives (ISAE) E-Lists are provided as a service to ISAE members. You acknowledge and agree that all information, comments, submissions, data, text, software, music, sound, photographs, graphics, video, messages or other content posted on the E-Lists (collectively “Content”) is the sole responsibility of the person from which such Content originated. ISAE accepts no responsibility for any Content posted on the E-Lists; all Content posted on the E-Lists is the opinion and responsibility of the person posting the Content. ISAE does not prescreen any Content prior to transmission to the E-List membership. ISAE is not responsible for any technical difficulties that may arise with network servers, equipment, and/or communication connections.

By subscribing to and using the ISAE E-Lists (E-Lists), you further acknowledge and agree:

  • Providers and users of an interactive computer service (such as the E-List) are protected by federal law from liability for the statements of other users. However, the authors of the messages are not immune from legal prosecution.
  • You are entirely responsible for all Content that you post or otherwise make available via these E-Lists. Any defamatory, abusive, profane, threatening, offensive, or illegal materials are subject to applicable laws.
  • You assume all risks associated with, the use of any Content provided in messages sent via the E-Lists, including any reliance on the accuracy, completeness, or usefulness of such Content. ISAE is not responsible, and shall be held harmless, for any Content in any message sent through the E-Lists.
  • Content posted on the E-List is available for all subscribers to see and is subject to applicable laws, including but not limited to those governing libel and antitrust.
  • By subscribing to the E-Lists, it is possible that you will be exposed to Content that is offensive or objectionable to you that is posted by other E-List members.
  • Any material downloaded or otherwise obtained through the use of the E-Lists is done at your own discretion and risk and you are solely responsible for any damage to your computer system or loss of data that results from the download of any such material.
