• Having the courage to act properly in “The Decisive Moment”, when deadlines and decisions collide even when it means standing up for and communicating organizational values to your boss or board.
• Resolving ethical dilemmas, when two competing values must be dealt with in a fair and consistent manner

How do you resolve these dilemmas?

• Ends-based thinking. Best known by the phrase “Do whatever produces the greatest good for the greatest number of people.”
• Rule-based thinking. Simply put, that means, follow only the rules or principles that you want everyone else to follow.
• Care-based thinking. The Golden Rule: “Do to others what you would like them to do to you."
